Responsibilities

General Dynamics Corporate Headquarters is in search of an Internal Controls Intern to assist with a wide range of projects, including audit support and internal control evaluation. This is an exciting opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Accounting to gain exposure to the broader Internal Controls environment with our experienced team. In this role you will:

• Support the Internal Controls team with audit projects and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR/SOX)
• Learn and execute some of the work steps necessary to perform an internal audit
• Assist with data analytics to gain insights into past Internal Controls data
• Participate and gain exposure to the Audit Committee reporting process

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must:

• Be a rising junior or senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• Possess a basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Be highly motivated with a desire to learn
• Be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Be able to commute and work at our office located in Reston, VA Monday to Friday
• Be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date unless medical or religious exceptions apply
