Job description
As a Budtender, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in selecting cannabis products that best suit their preferences and needs. You'll be responsible for educating customers on various cannabis products, ensuring accurate transactions, maintaining a clean and organized retail environment, staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, and maximizing profits through upselling.
Responsibilities
Exceptional Customer Service: Provide personalized assistance to customers, guiding them in selecting products based on their preferences, desired effects, and consumption methods.
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Product Education:
Educate customers on the effects, usage methods, and potential benefits of different cannabis products available in the dispensary.
Stay informed about the latest developments in the cannabis industry, including new products, strains, and consumption techniques.
Transaction Processing: Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the dispensary's point-of-sale system, ensuring adherence to all relevant protocols and regulations.
Handle cash and credit card transactions following appropriate procedures to maintain financial integrity.
Retail Environment Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized retail space, including product displays, shelves, and signage, to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.
Ensure that all products are properly stocked and labeled according to regulatory requirements.
Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes, and share this information with colleagues and customers as needed.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Upselling and Revenue Maximization: Identify opportunities to upsell products to customers, maximizing profits while meeting their needs and preferences.
Educate customers on the menu concept, promoting featured products and special offers to enhance sales.
Requirements: Prior experience in customer service, retail, or the cannabis industry is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is desirable.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must comply with all state and local regulations regarding the sale and distribution of cannabis products.
