The Project Specialist is responsible for supporting the Director of Residence Life through a combination of project and process management, report development – as well as communication and administrative support. The Project Specialist serves as lead project manager for many specialized initiatives aimed at business continuity and consistency in Residence Life, including strategic plan administration, operations, move-in, and staff recruitment, hiring and development.

The Project Specialist gathers and interprets data to prepare regular reports aimed at highlighting trends in occupancy, retention, engagement, budget usage and more. Additionally, the Project Specialist is responsible for crafting a range of internal and external communications at the direction of the Director. To accomplish these objectives, the Project Specialist also provides administrative support to the Director through tracking of short, mid, and long term commitments and plans, proactive and reactive calendar management, and more. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of project management and collaboration, as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or equivalent education/experience. Two years of demonstrated administrative or project management experience, or related experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral/written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an understanding and willingness to learn and navigate multiple campus computer/database systems/software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in higher Education Administration, or related field. Three or more years of demonstrated administrative or project management experience. Previous experience within a university or university housing department. Experience with housing and dining software systems.

Posted Salary: $52,000/yr. minimum
