Job description
Position Overview: The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing project management and administrative support for commercial construction projects, including new construction and renovation of schools and K-12 facilities as well as Piers. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with piers and other components of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the planning, design, and construction of commercial projects, including new construction and renovation of schools and K-12 facilities.
- Assist in the development and review of bid documents and contracts.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all project components.
- Advise on and review project cost estimates, budget, and scheduling.
- Analyze and evaluate project progress and cost control.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Monitor and coordinate the installation of piers and other construction components.
- Manage project documentation and filing systems.
- Prepare cost and schedule reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of two years related experience in commercial construction, project management, and/or engineering.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software related to project management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
