Job description
Job Title: Bookkeeper/Contracts Admin
Location: San Clemente CA
Salary: $70k+ DOE
Requirements: AP/AR, QuickBooks, Payroll
ACCOUNTING:
- Full cycle accounts payable, management of year end 1099s
- Fully cycle accounts receivable, collections- takes effective collection actions on delinquent accounts.
- Weekly credit card receipt audit entries, monthly bank and credit card reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, GL reconciliation, adjusting journal entries, Process sales and use tax prepayments, file quarterly return.
PAYROLL:
- Process semi-monthly payroll through 3rdparty payroll provider, Pay-Net
- Record JE to book payroll
CONTRACT ACCOUNTING:
- Review current projects, establish new projects are in accordance with company policies/ contractual obligations.
- Prepare, review and generate project and AR billing reports for project managers, Produce invoices, Review documentation, ensure invoice accuracy.
- Answer customer inquiries, Resolve customer disputes.
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as needed.
- Generate proposals at direction of management.
- Review status of contracts with management, follow up accordingly.
- Manage insurance items, certifications and reporting.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
- Responsible for compensation, benefits enrollment, leave administration.
- 5+ years in accounting or bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, MS Office Suite
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Familiarity with contracts management/admin
- Ability to be on site in San Clemente
- CPA not required but preferred
