Job description
Peraton is actively seeking an experienced Business Development Senior Manager who will drive the expansion of our new business pipeline for the Mission Enabled Operations (MEO) Operating Unit, within the Intelligence Mission Solutions Business Unit.
Primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Identify and qualify new business pursuits that align to IC mission challenges, Peraton’s market position, capabilities, and strategy.
- Develop tailored market access strategies that take advantage of Peraton’s existing position and programs within the federal market.
- Maintain strong business-to-business relationships that facilitate teaming decisions for opportunity pursuits.
- Collaborate with program managers, executive leaders, and functional staff to support business development and capture/proposal efforts.
- Lead corporate responses to customer-issued market surveys and requests for information.
- Drive the company’s engagement with customer decision-makers and lead the company’s direct engagements with key Government stakeholders and senior executive service personnel.
- Qualify and brief opportunities at milestones and facilitate progression through formal pursuit/bid gate reviews.
Required
- Proactive attitude and approach to identifying and qualifying business opportunities aligned to IC mission challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years (or MS and 10+) of experience in the Intelligence Community (as staff or contactor).
- Minimum of four years of program/portfolio management experience or four years business development experience with responsibility for a relevant market or customer base (CIA, ODNI, FBI, DIA).
- Ability to lead customer engagement with key customers across the spectrum of technical, mission, and senior levels as well as contracting/acquisition officials.
- Experience developing quality presentation materials to support customer engagements.
- Capability to listen, engage, and identify mission challenges that can be translated into qualified business opportunities to support IC customers.
- Minimum of two years of experience with the competitive federal bid and proposal process, including leading responses to DoD RFI/market surveys and federal Requests for Proposal (RFP)
- Ability to rapidly transition from opportunity qualification into pursuit/capture phases for key pursuits; ability to develop and execute a capture plan that will be fully responsive to customer needs and fully compliant with RFP requirements.
- Industry contacts within the business community that is relevant to IC customers.
- Experience contributing to proposal color reviews for competitive federal opportunities.
- Experience supporting cost/price strategy for federal proposals, including development of appropriate labor rates, and integrating price-to-win analysis and competitive intelligence into bid pricing.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

- Experience with technical exploitation, collection, and analytic customers across the IC.
- Experience with offensive and defensive cyber programs capabilities, technology, and mission requirements.
- Experience with DevSecOps and advanced data analytics IC programs, IC customer requirements, and applicable commercial and open-source technologies.
- Proven experience translating customer challenges and requirements into sold business.
