Electrical Equipment Company (EECO) is an expert in industrial automation and electric motor solutions, with the benefit of full line electrical distribution. EECO provides a combination of capabilities not typical of distributors, including onsite assessment, performance evaluation, data driven recommendations, repair options, and supply chain optimization. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate as a member of our Finance/Accounting Team in support of ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial payments for the Company.

Position Summary :

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for updating vendor invoices in our automated AP system for payment. Additional duties include reconciling vendor statements and responding to vendor requests for payment status.

Position Responsibilities:

• Code and update vendor invoices for payment.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies so all discounts are taken for on-time payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Respond to vendor payment status requests.
• Other miscellaneous work as assigned.

Position Requirements:

1. HS diploma or equivalent
2. 2+ years' experience in an electronic accounts payable processing environment
3. Previous experience in a multi-location company preferred.
4. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
6. Excellent communications skills (both written and oral)
7. Ability to multi-task
8. Valid NC driver's license.
