Job description

Reference laboratory located in Memphis TN is seeking to hire a part time laboratory assistant. Monday - Friday 8am -12:30 Individual should possess excellent communication skills, basic Word/Excel knowledge, detailed orientated with a positive attitude and good time management. Job duties include urine specimen receipt, maintaining client requisitions and working closely with laboratory testing personnel. High school diploma or GED required. Job duties:

• Receives specimens and performs specimen accessioning into laboratory information system
• Checks specimen adequacy
• Prepares and organizes work area
• Maintains written records
• Maintains patient confidentiality and security of work area
