Job description
Machinis ts needed; metallurgical plant: Columbus, MS. Starting $19/hr. Full benefits package after probation period. MUST have experience operating various machinery & measuring tools, have a valid Driver’s License & High School diploma or G.E.D.
Job Duties - Operating machinery to form and shape material
- Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts
- Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery
Required Experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a machinist
- Previous experience working with Micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and other hand tools
Skills - Knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining process
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to become Forklift Certified by company
Education - High School Diploma or G.E.D.
