About the Role:

U.S. Pipe is seeking a Welder to join our team. This position is responsible to lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Does all work required of Welder “B”.

· Does all types of welding on ferrous and non-ferrous work.

· Does all types of MIG-TIG welding and Heliarc welding.

· Does all types of submerge arc welding.

· Does layout work and works from blueprints on difficult jobs without supervision.

· Does special repair and construction jobs as required.

· Does maintenance welding as required.

· Assigns work in absence of group leader or foreman.

· Responsible for good housekeeping of work area.

· Does other work as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

· Must pass A.W.S. welding test, either X ray or U.T.  

· Must have full knowledge of all kinds of welding work and equipment.  

· Must be safety conscious at all times.
