Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Physician – Waterloo/Cedar Falls IA

UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. - Physician will join a team of 5 OB/GYN and 7 midwives and 1 Nurse Practitioner
- Two clinic locations with one located on the hospital campus
- Call ratio 1:5 with goal of obtaining 1:6
- Strong work-life balance with ability to take call from home
- 24-hour weekday call and 72 hour weekend call shifts
- 4 day/week clinic schedule when not on weekend call
- Nurse Triage service is first line for all patient calls outside business ours and covers routine Obstetrical and gynecological questions.
- Experienced, trustworthy labor and delivery staff with low turnover
- Newly expanded and state of the art labor, deliver, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) suites- 24 beds
- Total practice deliveries average 1000 yearly
- 2 Full-time Neonatologists with Level 2 NICU
- 24/7 access to highly collegial MFM consult with simple direct phone call.
- Average 1000 deliveries as a practice
- UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital has been designated a Minimally Invasive Gynecology Center of Excellence by AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) and Surgical Review Corporation
- Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
- Clinic schedule is Monday – Thursday with every Friday off unless you are on call for the weekend (Friday-Sunday)
- Average 18-26 clinic patients per day
- In office ultrasound offered at both clinic locations and read by the General Radiology department
- Surgical block time offered at Allen Hospital Main OR and local Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Two Da Vinci Xi Robotic surgical systems available at Allen Hospital
- Physician average of 55% OB care and 45% GYN care
- Physicians provide supervision to our collegial midwife group that manages their own low-risk practice
- MD or DO
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Hold or obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Immigration assistance- Accepts J-1 and H1B visa
