Accounting Assistant Needed "Why Banyan? Banyan Air Services Inc.is the largest aviation complex in the southeast located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale. We are a full-service aviation company, providing award-winning FBO services, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) on turbine powered aircraft.Our team has a deep passion for excellence in aviation services and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the same passion. We areseeking an Accounting Assistant to supportAccounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments. This is an accounting administrative role for someone seeking to enhance their experience in the accounting industry andgrow with a stable company.Some areas of responsibility include: assisting with daily department closeouts, voucheringfor selected vendors,monthly reports, filing, and other accounting duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: Aminimum of2 years in an accounting and administrative environment Minimum of 2 years experience in AP/AR Strong computer and data entry skills required, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Must be a team-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills. Eagerness to learn new processes while supporting the department Position is onsite full-time/hourly, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with reconciling purchase orders and vendor invoices. Email and call vendors and coworkers to resolve discrepancies. Voucher invoices in preparation for payment processing. Review monthly vendor statements and resolve any issues. AssistCFO, Controller and Accounting Supervisorand other departments in month-end closing as necessary Review and check for accuracy all month-end distributions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inter company transfers/adjustments. Review current procedures and help to develop ways to streamline system. Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Conform with all safety rules and wears/uses all appropriate safety equipment.
