The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Finance and Accounting Services is seeking a Financial Analyst to help support the accounting and financial reporting demands of Iowa Health Care including, but not limited to, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), Carver College of Medicine (CCOM), and University of Iowa Physicians (UIP). The analyst will report to the Associate Director of Revenue Accounting who will help support and oversee the preparation of journal entries, supporting workpapers and reconciliations for key financial processes, variance analyses for financial statements and key performance indicators. The analyst will also be a key member of the team who helps the Associate Director in providing technical assistance, training, and education to internal stakeholders regarding accounting processes, financial statement interpretation, and financial reporting applications. A significant portion of the Financial Analyst’s primary duties will be focused on professional-based revenue of the enterprise, CCOM commitments, CCOM gifts, and assisting with day-to-day financial operations of the CCOM.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.

Position Responsibilities:
