Job description
The Department of Family Medicine at JFK University Medical Center, is seeking a full-time board-certified family physician to join our residency program’s faculty. This role will include the opportunity to work with learners from all levels such as FM residents, medical students and other students. The JFK Family Medicine Residency program is a community hospital program in suburban, Central NJ and was established in 1976. This is an ideal location in New Jersey, close to the Jersey Shore, Pocono Mountains, New York and Philadelphia, with excellent transportation and commuting options.
Position Details:
- Participate in ongoing faculty development and development of scholarly activities
- Administrative duties include assisting the FM Program Director with ACGME Program requirements
- Act as an advisor to assigned residents, participate in the recruitment and selection process of resident applicants to the program
- Maintain an active clinical practice including outpatient, inpatient, and options for post-acute/long term care, prenatal care as well as labor and delivery
Position Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree, Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Prior residency and/or medical school teaching experience preferred
- Clinical patient care, teaching, administrative, research and computer skills
- Valid NJ medical license
- Ability to obtain a faculty appointment at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine
