Position Overview

The Telephonic Nurse is mainly responsible for providing initial and on-going support to ensure that patients are successful on home enteral therapy. Contacts all new patients post discharge, completing a nursing assessment as well as being available to help troubleshoot, coach and support patients and caregivers throughout their enteral therapy treatment. The Telephonic Nurse is also available after hours to answer patient or caregiver calls that are clinical in nature; as well as being a resource for the patient care and clinical team.

The starting pay for our Telephonic Nurse team is $65,000 per year. Essential Job Functions

- Contact all new patients within 24-48 hour post discharge, completing a nursing assessment form in appropriate systems

- Answer any questions of a clinical nature that the patient or caregiver may have

- Escalate patient concerns to the Clinical Director to be addressed as necessary

- Act as a resource for the patient care, sales and clinical team as necessary

- Participate in nutrition education projects as appropriate

Requirements

- Degree in nursing required; proper state licensing required

- Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel

Additional state specific requirements:

Preferences

- Adult and Pediatric experience preferred

- Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times

- Proven ability to manage in a high call volume environment with accuracy and efficiency

- Must possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
