YOUR LIFE AS A SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PAYROLL TAX
This full-time finance team position works during regular business hours .
As a Senior Assistant Director of Payroll Tax at our technology company, you experience a fast-paced and exciting day. Your role is vital to the organization as you are responsible for ensuring that all tasks are accurate, timely, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. You start your day by checking your emails to ensure there are no urgent requests or issues that need immediate attention. Then you meet with the Director of Payroll Tax to review the department's progress toward achieving its goals and objectives and discuss any pending projects or issues that need to be completed.
Throughout the day, you complete various payroll tasks, such as reviewing payroll tax filings, conducting meetings with Payroll Tax Analysts to provide support and training, staying up-to-date with legislative and regulatory updates, and responding to government agency notices and inquiries related to payroll taxes. You use your keen eye to review data and ensure accuracy and compliance, and prepare reports on progress toward achieving the department's goals and objectives.
As a Senior Assistant Director, you collaborate with other departments such as Finance, Tax, Implementation, Product, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on data quality standards and secure consistent payroll outcomes and operations for clients. Additionally, you work on the creation and maintenance of policy/process/learning material and ensure that all content is relevant and up to date.
Your day ends with preparing a report on progress towards achieving the department's goals and objectives, which you share with the Director of Payroll Tax, and any areas of concern are discussed.
