Job description
Grede is seeking highly motivated, innovative, and inspired individuals. The Grede Grad program allows new graduates to gain on-the-job experience in a multitude of areas of a Foundry Plant and Corporate environment. This is an opportunity for new graduates to apply their knowledge, enhance their critical thinking, and test drive their careers within a two-year rotation throughout our locations in the Central United States. The first location of this role is: Southfield, MI.
The assignments are project oriented and autonomous, meaningful to the department and company, allowing Grads to take responsibility for major tasks, and gain experience.
Responsibilities :
- Work with the Industry 4.0/ IoT functional team on the implementation of the Norican Monitizer software for process control across the corporation.
- Prepare documentation on work instructions, software FMEAs and training manuals for the process control software.
- Track, record and report progress.
- Learn the mechanics of the CIM and Norigate hardware.
- Suggest KPIs and improvements to the Industry 4.0 group on the implementation.
- Help in the development of the A.I. phase of the software implementation.
- Communicate required changes to appropriate plant personnel.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements :
- Must have obtained a bachelors and/or masters degree from an accredited university or college within the last 12-18 months in the applicable degrees: Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics
- Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
