As a Principal Applications Engineer, you are responsible for helping customers to adopt our parts successfully on their projects and leading all communication between internal teams and customers. Within this role, you will work with various products and tools. The circuit blocks involved in product definitions and customer support include LNA, Filters, Switches, Couplers and Power Amplifiers Software. The layout and schematic tools include Mentor, Allegro and OrCAD and Mircosoft Office/Outlook, The hardware tools include network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, noise figure meter and call box(CMW100/500 or 5G).

Responsibilities

• Evaluation board/radio hardware design.
• Verification and evaluation of products in development for compliance to device and system level requirements.
• Phone level application design support for compliance to industry standards and customer production robustness.
• Writing of datasheet and application notes.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of device production issues.
• Working with customers and internal teams to define device level requirements and perform system tradeoff analyses.
• Frequent on-site supports are required to achieve successful design-wins.
• TX/RX performance optimization and understanding the trade-offs of TX and RX.

Required Experience and Skills

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 12 years’ experience in phone level RF systems engineering, or
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 8 years’ experience in phone level RF systems engineering, or
• PhD and 5 years’ experience in phone level RF systems engineering.
• Possess a strong understanding of fundamental RF and phone level design and troubleshooting experience.
• Must have experience in a customer-facing role.
• Good communications skills and experience to be able to interface effectively.
• Strong theoretical background in fundamental RF and systems design.
• Ability to lead, be a driven and committed team player.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Strong initiative and self-starter mentality.
• Passion to win/contribute and a “do what it takes” attitude and approach to the position.
• Ability to work in and thrive in a team environment.
• Ability to handle fast paced and dynamic environment.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience in wireless handset application of TX/RX in WCDMA/LTE/5G systems, RF PCB design, test and troubleshooting of RF circuits and phone board, and RF systems analysis.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $124,400 - $235,700per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
