Job Summary:

As an electrical service technician at L&S, you will maintain, repair, install, and upgrade electrical equipment in residential homes. Electrical service techs identify issues and communicate solutions to homeowners. This position will work closely with the L&S Customer Service Dept. and production. Key relationships will also include builders and homeowners.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform residential warranty and service work. Diagnosis and repair of electrical systems including camera doorbells, Smart switches, fan controls and arch faults and GFI circuit breakers.
• All work is done according to the National Electrical Code and shortcuts are not allowed. We do the right thing.
• Communicate with the Service manager and dispatch.
• Daily work in people’s homes in a professional manner and display a high level of communication skills.
• Utilize iPad/tablet to enter service call solutions and acquire daily schedules for reviewing and planning efficient workday routes.
• Work alongside industry experts to expand trade knowledge and experience.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years prior electrical warranty and service work for the residential construction industry.
• Current Wireman or Journeyman level license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Perform the physical demands of the position: working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow); climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching; able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling of objects.
