Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Maple Grove, MN(Hybrid)

Duration: 7 Months(possibility for extensions)

Local candidates only - Twin Cities


7-month contract position - possibility for extensions depending on business needs and candidate performance (project through 2026)


Hybrid role - must be in the office 3 days a week (M, W, F in office & T, TH from home) - work in the office for a first month full time then shift to a hybrid role

Description:

  • Works with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
  • Measure performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to the original plan and budget.
  • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.
  • Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from the sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to the Project Team and Department manager.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • At the department level or provides assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project.
  • Make decisions that impact project-level activities. Influence project-level budget.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • At least 3 yrs. experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development.
  • Supporting Pacemaker Software



Must Haves:

  • IT Software project management in a waterfall setting - need to be a leader, proactive (Waterfall experience is must)
  • Software delivery projects - must be computer IT related, building new computer systems
  • No looking for a scum master experience or background and No program manager experience
  • Tactical day-to-day position for someone with 10 to 15 years of experience as IT Project Manager
  • This is a mid-level to position so anyone who is a Sr. IT Project Manager, Director, or Program Manager are overqualified
  • This is not a scum master position
  • Software technical ability beyond typical project manager able to understand MS Azure, IT networking, security, processes, procedures, and evaluate technical requests
  • Strong speaking/writing/soft/interpersonal skills
  • The position is customer-facing, must be able to communicate clearly, effectively and properly to clients
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be able to professionally handle conflict and identify resolutions acceptable to all parties

Notes:

STRONG Communication Skills need to effectively communicate verbally and written

Not program role this is an IT project role
Cloud migration experience preferred
IT infrastructure experience preferred
Azure experience nice to have
Medical device experience nice to have not required (If they have a medical device industry would be a plus)

Ability to adapt and learn

IT managers with project management is good and they deliver software, make decisions.

Cloud migration project- If they have knowledge about Azure that would be fine.

The ideal candidate should have experience Infrastructure Project Manger.

Min 10 to 15 years of experience, if they have 20 years of experience will be considered.



REMOTE OR RELOCATION CANDIDATES NOT PERMITTED


1. Position is relationship based and in-person contact with the broader team in the office is critical
2. We are not able to convert remote contractors to FTEs
3. The position will contain frequent whiteboard sessions in the office, physical presence is required for such meetings to be fruitful.
