This is a Human Resources Consultant position with a working title of Talent Acquisition Partner. The incumbent in this role will provide Human Resources consultation to campus units on SHRA , EHRA Non- Faculty, and Faculty recruitment, employment, SHRA layoff, and related policy compliance and HR best practices. This position works within a team of Talent Acquisition Partners in the University's central Office of Human Resources to serve the campus. Specifically, these positions take direction from the Human Resources Consultant (Advanced), Senior Talent Acquisition Partner. Primary duties of the Talent Acquisition Partner are: consults with all levels of leadership within assigned departments to understand departmental missions and deliver services to help departments accomplish their goals and objectives in employing, motivating, and retaining personnel; consults with department leadership to recruit staff; develops strategic recruitment plans; analyzes hiring trends; consults with departments regarding underutilization in candidate pools to ensure University EEO initiatives are being met; works to understand staffing trends to identify best practices for attracting diverse pools of qualified candidates for difficult to fill positions; reviews SHRA , EHRA Non-Faculty, and Faculty applications for qualifications, reviews and posts jobs; analyzes and approves SHRA RIF /layoff actions; works with EEO to evaluate waivers; evaluates out of country and out of state telework arrangements, attends career fairs, consults on targeted recruitment and advertising; and ensures that recruitment, selection, and pay practices are in compliance with University and State policies.

Education and Experience:

Master's degree in Human Resources
Recruitment experience in a higher education setting.
Familiarity with State of North Carolina and UNC system policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations with regard to recruitment, selection, and employment.
Relevant professional certification(s) such as SHRM -CP, SHRM - SCP , PHR , SPHR , CIR , ACIR , CDR , CSMR , CSSR , etc.
