Responsible for understanding the basic tenets of Rooms Merchandising and integrating that knowledge with Selective Selling Techniques to sell the right rooms to the right customers at the right rate.

• Oversee accurate and timely input of Reservations into system
• Oversees capture, posting, and research of cancellation and no-show
• Answers guest questions in the pre-arrival phase of the reservation through phone, email, and third party sites
• Monitors third party extranets and reconciles bookings between systems
• Owns the in-house booking process for VIP guests, Site visits, ESP Account bookings, wholesale, catering, and house complimentary rooms
• Monitors and adjusts room type oversells in line with the strategy set by management
• Ensures all advance deposits are collected by reaching out to guests with invalid payment methods
• Ensures upsell revenue is captured by owning the My Upgrade and Dynamic Package processes
• Manages individual guest blocking and requests according to revenue potential
• Maximize potential room revenue by following specified selling guidelines.
• Ensure that all calls are acknowledge as quickly as possible.
• Knowledge of hotel services and events.
• Ensure an efficient and professional working environment with open communication.
• Ensure that guest history is used properly.
• Able to upsell as necessary.
• Able to describe all hotel accommodations.

• Knowledge of four-diamond / four-star customer service standards
• Previous experience in a Luxury Hotel Customer Service / Reservations (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Delphi, Opera ORS, and Opera PMS (strongly preferred)
• Proficient computer skills on Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
• Excellent and professional communication skills
• Highly detailed, and able to maintain excellent organizational skills – while working in a fast pace environment.
