The Scrum Master will support the teams in the definition of their ways of working and guide them through their continuous improvement process.

As a team facilitator, he/she will create the conditions to allow the team to be successful in their value delivery ensuring they stay focused on their commitments, removing impediments and fostering enterprise awareness.

About Team:
Everyone has data, but the sheer volume of data at Walmart can be limitless. In the Data Engineering team, we help Walmart manage this data by building pipelines and data lakes to prepare big data for analysis and unlocking actionable insights in real-time. We also use cross-departmental data and machine learning to build a holistic view of true profitability, saving millions of dollars across item categories and geographies while assisting our leadership in making better decisions faster.

What you'll do:

Address impediments in a timely manner to minimize impact on commitments and improve value delivery

Support the teams in the definition of their ways of working and ensure they are followed

Facilitate key team meetings (e.g. daily, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective)

Assist the Product Owner with keeping a healthy product backlog

Coach teams on good planning and estimation practices

Maintain and report on team’s relevant metrics and monitor team’s progress towards commitments

Uses retrospectives and other Lean-Agile techniques to implement small changes that lead to demonstrable improvement for the team

What you'll bring:

Bachelors Degree with SCRUM Master Certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, SSM)

Familiarity with Google Cloud and data lake concepts

Knowledge of Agile practices and frameworks such as: Kanban, JIT, Lean principles, etc

Ability to encourage Agile behaviors, reinforce practices, norms, ceremonies, and support the overall Squad performance and efficiency
