Job description

Access Nursecare, Inc., is a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency that services Miami Dade County and Broward County. We are currently seeking Per Diem Home Health Field Registered Nurses for both counties to provide the best care for patients in their homes. Flexible hours and create your own schedule! Looking for Hi-tech home care RN with previous experience in home health care and administration of IVIG chemotherapy antibiotics, wound care, etc. Must be proficient with insertion of peripheral lines, along with care and maintenance of central lines.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

1. Interact with our clients for Infusion Therapy, assessments and other skilled nursing assignments.
2. Must be able to work professionally with our clinical and office teams.
3. Must be proficient with IV skills.
4. Submit required documentation on time.
5. Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis.
6. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
7. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
8. Must work within the guidelines of AHCA and the Joint Commission.

Communication

1. Prepares clinical notes as per company policy and updates the primary physician when necessary and at least every 60 days.
2. Communicates with the physician regarding the patient’s needs and reports any changes in the patient’s condition; obtains/receives physician’s orders as required.
3. Communicates with community health-related persons to coordinate the care plan.

Position Qualifications

1. + years of experience working as an RN, 1 year of hospital and 1 year of home care experience with IV infusions or equivalent combination of training and experience.
2. RN IVIG experienced.
3. Current RN licensure in the state of Florida and CPR certification.
4. Homecare experience a HUGE PLUS.
5. Knowledge and understanding of Home Care policies and procedures.
6. RNs having OASIS Assessment Experience a plus.
7. Knowledge of Medicare Guidelines, Home Health Experience, Kinnser/ Wellsky Software Preferred.
8. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
9. Trach and Vent experience a plus.

Required Licenses or Certifications

1. Driver’s License
2. Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
3. Current American Heart Association BLS
4. CEU’s –Alzheimer’s Training, Domestic Violence, FL. Laws & Rules, HIV/AIDS, OSHA, HIPAA, Medical Error Prevention and Safety
5. Recent Physical w/ PPD or Chest X-ray
6. Valid Auto Insurance
7. Must have IV Certification
