We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President for Sales who will not only lead our day-to-day sales functions and revenue leadership but also the strategy and vision of the employer sales function. This role requires an exceptional leader with a track record in handling big-ticket deals, particularly within the enterprise segment. The leader will lead our broker consultant, enterprise and commercial sales, strategic alliances, and the business development team.
How you contribute to our success The Vice President for Sales executes Navigate’s sales strategy. Success happens when the VPBD accelerates our sales strategy and drives new recurring revenue business growth, ultimately achieving new recurring revenue budget goals in the year.
The VP Sales is responsible for developing and growing a high performing sales team, ensuring they understand the Navigate suite of products, our value proposition, our brand promise, and our service commitment and are able to share our story throughout the sales process to win new recurring revenue sales.
Navigate’s sales success is attributed to our reputation and relationships in our marketplace. The VP Sales is responsible for building relationships and assisting the sales team members as they manage these relationships in our marketplace.
Success for this position is defined by new recurring revenue pipeline and sales goal achievement. Your Responsibilities to the team, our clients and community - Work with the VP for Growth, CEO and executive team to execute the sales strategy for Navigate and all sales channels.
- Hire and develop the talent needed to execute and deliver on this strategy.
- Execute and deliver on the sales strategy as evidenced by preferred partner relationships with brokers, other key relationship development, pipeline, and sales goal achievement.
- Provide oversight and direction for the plan development, execution, and goal achievement for the following:
- The Sales process
- Sales quotas, territories, and compensation
- Key relationship development in all sales channels
- A sales strategy and plan for each sales channel and key partners within those channels.
- Product knowledge and promotion with the Director of Product and Strategy and the VP for Marketing
- Sales team training, and development
- Propose a budget for approval and ensure the sales team operates within the approved budget.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on sales pipeline, bookings, and forecasting.
- Work closely with the marketing, product, technology, and finance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our sales process.
- Develop relationships with external contacts and vendors that help grow Navigate.
- Collaborate with the client services team to ensure the client experience is best in class.
- Collaborate with the product team in the development and deployment of products into the marketplace that meet the demands of our target market.
- Manage the marketing technology suite to ensure compliance, full and effective use of each solution and that all staff are trained on each solution to use it to its fullest capacity.
Position Requirements - Extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role, with a history of broker sales and handling large enterprise deals.
- Domain expertise in the enterprise health benefits sector, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and regulatory environments in this industry.
- Proven B2B enterprise selling experience, demonstrating a successful track record in navigating complex sales environments and closing high-value deals.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet ambitious targets.
- Expert knowledge with various sales modalities and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong track record of selling to and engaging with C-suite executives.
- Ability to mentor and develop early-career sales talent.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience & Education needed for success in this role. Experience A minimum of ten years of experience leading a sales team in the wellbeing or insurance industry. Experience leading a team to millions of dollars of quota achievement is required.
Regular overnight travel throughout the United States is required.
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Physical & Working Environment Standard office work environment. Minimum ability to lift push and pull 10lbs for event booth set up.
