The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cedars-Sinai is a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU. Each year, approximately 7,000 babies are born at Cedars-Sinai and our multidisciplinary team is here to care for those that need us. We know the NICU can be a scary place, but our team is here to make sure your baby gets the care they need. In addition to specially trained physicians and nurses, we offer a wide array of support for the entire family.

What will you be doing:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. A Nurse Practitioner???s practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients.??



Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

One (1) plus years??? experience as Nurse Practitioner, preferably in NICU.

Three (3) plus years of nursing experience.

Educational/Licensure/Certifications Requirements:

Master of Nursing Degree

Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered

Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License (eligible to obtain)

National Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner

Current DEA license and Furnishing Number

Current ACLS certification
