Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in Segpay by handling various functions related to bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development for individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of relevant experience at Segpay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recording business transactions through the accurate processing of journal entries at Segpay
• Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in compliance with legal and company accounting standards at Segpay
• Collaborating with the Accounting Manager to facilitate monthly and yearly closings at Segpay
• Ensuring the integrity of general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable, analyzing retainage, and preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals at Segpay
• Overseeing bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy at Segpay
• Correcting accounting errors and making necessary journal entry adjustments at Segpay
• Handling wire transfers and providing back-up support for other accounting personnel at Segpay
• Each Junior Accountant may also participate in other duties and projects as assigned, contributing to a diverse and dynamic work environment.

In addition to the essential job functions at Segpay, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of prior experience in the field. Proficiency in QuickBooks, as well as advanced Excel skills, is essential for success in this role at Segpay. Candidates must display strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and exhibit the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively at Segpay.
