Responsibilities:

1. Companionship & Independence Promotion: Engage in friendly companionship, fostering independence by respecting seniors' preferences and abilities.

2. Emotional Support: Provide empathetic listening and understanding to seniors seeking to share their thoughts and experiences.

3. Activity Planning: Collaborate with seniors to plan and engage in activities that enhance mental and emotional well-being.

4. Assistance with Daily Living: Offer non-medical support with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and organization.

5. Transportation: Provide transportation to appointments, social events, and errands, ensuring seniors remain connected.

6. Medication Reminders: Offer gentle medication reminders to help seniors adhere to prescribed schedules.

• A genuine passion for helping others, especially fellow seniors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion for the unique needs of elderly individuals.
• Ability to maintain a positive and patient attitude in challenging situations.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Completion of a background check and reference checks.
• Older adult with 45+ years of life experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable insured auto
• 6 - 8 hours (minimum) weekly availability
• Personal cell phone
• Private email account and ability to send/receive emails
• Conversational English fluency
• Live centrally in our Greater Boston/Metrowest service area with accessibility to multiple client locations such as: Arlington, Boston, Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Dedham, Framingham, Hudson, Jamaica Plain, Lexington, Medford, Needham, Natick Newton, Sudbury, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, Weston
