Job description
We have an outstanding Contract position for an A/P Clerk to join a leading Company located in the Wichita, KS surrounding area.
Supports the administrative and executive team by scheduling, planning, assisting, and providing administrative functions. Responsible for accounts payable and contract tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Essential Functions
- Provides support to the CEO and physicians
- Receives, sorts, and distributes all incoming mail to appropriate persons
- Attends Management Meetings, Administrative Meetings, and other meetings as assigned, and provides the documentation for these meetings
- Responsible for processing accounts payable, including the year-end 1099 process
- Accumulate credit card receipts and reconcile credit card statements
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Orders and distributes office supplies
- Maintains and reconciles petty cash fund
- Coordinates completion of annual AHA / KHA, Hospital license, and Census Bureau surveys
- Maintains Certificates of Insurance for contractors to submit with Work Comp Audit
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate destination
- Maintains physician call schedule and monitors ACLS certification for providers
- Maintains patient and hospital confidentiality at all times
- Must possess or obtain Notary status
- Greets all patients and families, physicians, and staff in a courteous manner, and assists as needed
- Non-Essential Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Actively supports and upholds the mission and core values of the Hospital
- Remains knowledgeable of and follows the policies of the Hospital
- Keeps Manager apprised of day-to-day situations
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's/Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of office management (hospital or medical office) and accounts payable experience
