IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?

The Indirect Lending Manager is responsible for marketing, developing and maintaining desired indirect lending relationships with automobile, motorcycle, and recreational vehicles dealerships in targeted markets. Manages staff and oversees day-to-day operations of the Indirect Lending Department. Supports policies and procedures that maximize potential business and limit loss ratio. Build and enhance relationships with dealers along with develop, recommend and report on program to management of credit union.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Introduce credit union's indirect lending program to dealerships by soliciting through dealer visits and cold calls. Prospect and develop a list of dealers in targeted areas. Negotiates and executes dealer contracts.
  2. Maintain relationships with dealers with routine visits to include updating dealers on rates, new services, and providing recommendations for problems and education on services. Provide accurate information in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain system tools to track and analyze indirect lending program. Distribute dealer activity reports, rate sheets, and other related communication on a weekly and/or monthly basis as required and to management of credit union.
  4. Provide credit union management with monthly indirect lending reports, analyze the dealer activity reports at least monthly and make necessary changes to manage the portfolio..
  5. Consult with credit union management to give dealer feedback and recommend new products, rates, and marketing strategies such as dealer incentives, events, promotions, promotional items, etc. based on local market or competitor's conditions and trends.
  6. Understands and adheres to all CFCU policies and procedures along with applicable banking, state and federal regulations. Communicates regulatory compliance to dealerships.
  7. Achieve established sales goals as established by management.
  8. Maintain knowledge of indirect lending products, services, in addition to credit union services. Be knowledgeable about competitors' rates, terms, and trends relating to indirect lending programs and communicate to management.
  9. Audit, post, and support back office functions for indirect lending.
  10. Abides by signed, written Loan Officer Agreement and completes loan officer report for credit committee monthly.
  11. Manage Indirect Lending Processors and Underwriters
  12. Underwrite loans on occasion
  13. Performs other duties as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education - Prefer college degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or other business related degree, or related field of equivalent work experience.

Experience - Minimum of two years management and sales experience preferred. Two years experience in auto lending, dealer financing or related field equivalent work. Experience with public speaking and business presentations required.

Physical, mental, and visual requirements - The duties of this position require accurate visual observation for computer work, proof-reading and to drive as needed. Independent mobility is required to call on dealers, vendors, deliver supplies and visit branch office locations.

Other - The nature of this position requires flexible hours and schedules. A valid Tennessee driver's license is required as the company car or use of a personal vehicle is used for this position.
