Job description
Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring for qualified, patient-care GIS Tech to work for a State Hospital in Houston, TX.

GIS Tech are responsible for performing independent echocardiographic exams on patients who range in age from neonates to adults.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sits within the GIS department but works closely with Land and other departments to achieve the land data and mapping needs of the organization.
- Read and interpret oil and gas lease documents, deeds, contracts and regulatory documents
- Edit lease tract polygons within the ESRI Parcel Fabric environment
- Manage various quality control parameters
- Application of map theory, including knowledge of projections and coordinate systems
- Create custom maps and visual aids per user request
- Design and process queries to extract, manipulate and analyze data
- Assist with special projects as directed by management
- Other related duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Required.
- Proficiency using ArcGIS Pro and related tools and extensions
- Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry and/or Land Management
- Basic understanding of PLSS concepts
- Basic understanding of platting and surveying methods
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Minimum: 1-year of ArcPro editing experience
- Minimum: 1-year managing spatial data for Land Management or Oil & Gas
- Knowledge of oil and gas land concepts, including leases, contracts, special provisions, right of way, etc.
- Experience using ESRI’s Parcel Fabric tools
- Experience creating custom maps and visuals
- Experience creating web maps in ESRI’s Portal
Job Details:
- Schedule varies; Typically M-F hours between 8am -4:30pm
- $31/hr + benefits
