Job Description:
- Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned accounts
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating MSAs and contracts to maximize profitability
- Developing trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensuring timely and successful delivery of our service lines according to customer needs and objectives working in partnership with Project Management and Service Lines
- Clearly communicating the progress of monthly/ quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining Strategic Account Plan for each assigned account to include Operational Delivery objectives, Financial objectives, Key Metrics/ SLAs, relationship mapping, competitor analysis, etc.
- Developing new business with existing customers and/or identify areas for improvement to meet sales targets
- Managing issue escalations with assigned customers
- Developing/ enhancing/ managing governance structure with assigned accounts
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
- 10 years of experience in Account Management or related field
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Project Manager or relevant role
- Proven work experience in life sciences industry – CRO, pharma, biotech, other service provider
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Solid experience with CRM software, and MS Office (particularly MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
