5:30am-2:00pm
1:30-10:00pm
$22.75 with $1.25 shift differential for swing

Job Summary:
As a Sanitation Specialist for a food manufacturing company in Kent, WA . You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our food processing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to clean food processing equipment, overhead pipes, conveyors, screens, filters, and floors using various tools, chemicals, and cleaning techniques. You will also support the janitorial team in ensuring the overall cleanliness and housekeeping of the facility. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Weekend work and overtime may be required to meet production and sanitation deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Clean food processing equipment, overhead pipes, conveyors, screens, filters, and floors using brushes, air hoses, steam cleaner, water hose, squeegee, and chemicals.
- Operate compactor and pick up scrap cardboard.
- Support janitorial service in maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping of the facility.
- Clean freezers and refrigerators following standard operating procedures.
- Cover and protect electrical panels; disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble, and run equipment.
- Mix chemicals for hand wash and sanitation, ensuring proper percentages and mixtures.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of structural components such as walls, floors, HVAC units, ductwork, lights, pipes, windows, and ceilings.
- Adhere to food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and maintain hazard-free work areas.
- Exercise caution and prioritize personal and others' safety.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Report food safety problems to authorized personnel.
- Perform other sanitation-specific duties as needed.
- Fulfill any other duties assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous sanitation experience desired.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
