CLAIMS SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

KNF&T Staffing is seeking clerical and administrative candidates for several full time, contract to permanent Claims Specialist roles supporting our Bedford-based medical billing client. Candidates for these positions must be able to work onsite, Monday through Friday, and should have strong customer service and communications skills. Training on all company-specific programs and policies will be provided but good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and keen attention to detail are vital keys to success in the Claims Specialist roles. The starting hourly rate for the Claims Specialist is $19, with an increase in hourly rate and full benefits upon conversion to permanent employment. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare the electronic claims to be sent
• Collection of 835 files
• Electronically matching insurance payments to the correct practice
• Review on a daily basis the Insurance Carrier Reports to resolve discrepancies or incomplete claims and send unresolved issues to the proper department or an Account Manager for follow up
• Reconcile electronic payments by retrieving electronic bank files for each client and matching payments or denials to the corresponding insurance carrier
• Scanning/PDF images
• Access and store EOBs and related documents into the filing software system
