The Department of Revenue (DOR) employs approximately 1,600 hard-working and dedicated employees throughout Colorado. We can be seen performing functions as varied as auditing and collecting taxes, issuing driver licenses and motor vehicle titles, marketing lottery products, and regulating liquor, gaming, horse racing, marijuana, and the auto industry in order to assist the citizens of our state.

The Security & Investigations unit ensures the physical and logical security of the Lottery Division , including background checks, cybersecurity, system integrity and oversight of audits by outside vendors; oversees criminal investigations and integrity stings to enforce Colorado criminal laws and Lottery regulations/policies; oversees processing of all applications for retailer licenses and renewals to sell Lottery products; enforces administrative compliance by retailer licensees with Lottery regulations, policies and retailer licensing agreements; ensures secure transportation of Lottery tickets and equipment and efficient/secure operations of the warehouse. We're hiring an organized and detailed individual with excellent communication and customer service skills to be our Field Compliance Investigator in Lottery! This position works in the field (Pueblo and Southern half of Colorado area ), travelling to retailers to ensure compliance with rules, regulations and Colorado statutes. Use your time management skills to organize your daily workload and ensure you visit your required locations. Your critical thinking and investigation skills will allow you to determine if a retailer is in compliance or not and if you need further contact with the team lead or criminal investigators. Must meet one of the following or any combination of experience/education to meet the qualifications:
OPTION 1:
5 years of experience with professional investigations and/or in an audit/compliance role.
OPTION 2:
Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
AND
3 years of professional experience with professional investigations and/or in an audit/compliance role.
OPTION 3:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
AND
1 years of professional experience with professional investigations and/or in an audit/compliance role.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
