Job description

Our client a vertically integrated developer owner & operator of retail assets with $1BAUM seeks a Controller with 5 years real estate or property accounting experience with retail/shopping centers or commercial assets to join their expanding team.

The Controller is primarily responsible for developing & executing strategic plans to maximize each shopping center s financial performance collaborating with property managers to create cost savings & efficiency and increase profitability.

This is a fully onsite role based in Chino and our client provides excellent PPO for medical dental and vision 100% paid by the company.

The ideal Controller candidate possesses the following skills & experience:

The ideal Controller candidate possesses the following skills & experience: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Master\'s degree or CPA preferred) At least five (5) years of accounting experience in Real Estate or Property Management A solid understanding of Yardi, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel Proven experience in accounting with Real Estate Accounting Manager qualifications Experience consolidating financial statements Strong knowledge of real estate financial reporting and lease accounting Financial planning and analysis exposure (FP&A) Proven experience in managing and motivating a team effectively Excellent communication and leadership skills Exceptional skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detail Detail-oriented, forward-thinking leader who ensures financial operations are efficient, accurate, and compliant Ability to work independently if needed in a fast-paced environment
