Security Ranger (Full-Time)
Applications are being accepted for a full-time Security Ranger in the Safety and Security department.
Responsibilities: The Security Ranger performs multiple duties throughout the zoo including perimeter and gate checks, clearing the zoo of daytime guests, monitoring zoo grounds during and after hours, and preserving the safety of guests, animals, and property. This position works cooperatively with other departments and walks zoo grounds extensively throughout the work day in all weather conditions. This position works primarily night-shift schedule. Requirements: One year of previous security, guest service, loss prevention, or hospitality experience is required. High school diploma or GED, CPR/AED certification, and successful completion of Weapons Team certification within 30 days of hire are required. EMT experience is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
