Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Cable Technician performs essential operations to test and repair downhole cables for submersible pumps and motor equipment. This entry-level role involves receiving cables, conducting basic tests, utilizing machinery for repairs, and learning cable splicing techniques. Additionally, completing paperwork for inventory or field dispatch is a key responsibility. Successful completion of tasks directly impacts cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive cables and conduct basic tests.
• Utilize hipot machine for basic repairs and learn cable splicing techniques.
• Complete paperwork for inventory or field dispatch.

Requirements:

• Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing tasks and environments.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve objectives.
• Basic mathematical skills: Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

• Will train and certify as needed.

Length of Assignment: 6 months

Will the worker convert to FTE? Potentially

Expected start date: ASAP

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7 am - 5 pm (8-10 hours per day)
