Job description
New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Data Scientist for a 6 month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion. This position can work on a hybrid schedule from the Santa Clara, CA office. There is a potential to work remotely for the right candidate but a hybrid schedule is preferred.
Looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our client's Forecast Development team to translate business needs into technical solutions. A successful candidate will apply their strong programming skills and expertise in data collection, data quality, data manipulation and analysis, and mathematical modeling to develop forecasting tools.
Required Qualifications :
- 2-5 years as a Data Scientist
- Strong programming skills
- Expertise in data collection, data quality, data manipulation and analysis, and mathematical modeling to develop forecasting tools.
- Proficient in Python - VERY PROFICIENT 2+ years minimum
- SQL, and Excel
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scipy).
- Data Modeling
- Back end Pipelining
- Back End Dev Experience
- They will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with various types of datasets and convert complex business problems into mathematical models.
- Great at Data Visualization and Storytelling
- Independently motivated
Daily Tasks: - Two Specific components to project
- 8 0% Data Collection/Manipulation and analysis - programing and developing Models
- 20% refining mathematical models - understanding and improving
- Working with a very Diverse set of teams for Data collection
- Cleaning up and validating Data
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as NJAI/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Compensation : $77.00 per hour
