We are seeking a talented FPGA Engineer to join our team, contributing to groundbreaking satellite and aerospace technology projects. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and testing FPGA firmware for cutting-edge satellite computing hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop firmware for FPGA-based avionics systems using Verilog and VHDL, ensuring high reliability and performance for space applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality products within rapid development schedules.
- Design interfaces for sensors, actuators, and external payloads utilizing various communication protocols.
- Provide support for system-level integration, testing, and operation of space vehicles.
- Contribute expertise to the future development of avionics designs and document firmware configurations.
Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in FPGA design using Verilog or VHDL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Actel FPGA devices.
- Experience with serial protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and SpaceWire.
- Knowledge of hardware debugging tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Tcl, and Bash.
- Experience with software development in a Linux environment using C/C++.
- Ability to read circuit design schematics and contribute to electronics hardware discussions.
Additional Information:
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. security clearance.
- Salary ranges from $90,950 to $151,800 based on experience and qualifications.
