- Lead a team of engineers who are responsible for building, maintaining, and deploying web applications.
- Set technical direction for the engineering team and define architectural standards in partnership with other leaders.
- Partner effectively with other leaders in the group to develop a cohesive and comprehensive technical strategy and roadmap, supporting our range of products.
- Can help cultivate and advocate for a culture code that emphasizes a customer focus, sharing knowledge, empowering everyone, and supporting leadership at all levels.
- Are comfortable to work closely with business partners to understand their needs and help drive technical decisions in support of these goals.
- Care about cycle time and use CI/CD practices, tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles.
- Stay on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and love the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec.
- Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.
- Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions.
- Mentor individuals and teams on your proficiencies and skills.
- Collaborate with different technical teams to identify dependencies, coordinate activity, and resolve problems.
- Coordinate and encourage the adoption of new tools and processes within the team.
- Keen sense of ownership for the health of the applications and level of partnership with the business.
The specific needs are:
1) Powershell scripting
2) Expertise with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
3) Nice to have: Familiarity with .Net applications
Must Have
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in a Technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated Experience building, leading and growing highly effective teams.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment tools and build and release engineering processes.
- Strong knowledge on version control tools like GIT, Subversion and TFS to set standards and incorporate into automation.
- Building DevOps infrastructure and pipelines on different cloud technologies to implement high scalability and availability.
- Administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of production and non-production environments.
- Deploying code to production and non-production environments using tools like uDeploy, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and other cloud services.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with: YAML, Vault, Artifactory, Splunk, GraphQL and Datadog.
- Expertise on Various AWS Services like ECS Fargate, SNS, Security Groups, IAM, VPC, VPC Peering, Cloudwatch, S3, Lambda, DynamoDb, Route53, and CloudFormation templates.
- Strong knowledge on setting up and managing Jenkins pipelines using Jenkins configurations and Jenkinsfiles.
- Experience working on setting up and maintaining wiremock servers to facilitate performance testing for Dev teams.
- Strong knowledge on setting up different environment gates which can enable Continuous Deployments.
- Expertise on code quality tools like Sonar, Junit, Veracode, CodeQL, Mend to integrate with pipelines.
- Experience working on both Linux and Windows based Infrastructure.
- Excellent understanding of shell scripting, Powershell, Perl, Python, Node, Javascript, Typescript, Groovy and Java.
- Experience working on iPlanet, Apache and nginx webservers with Rtaz, FBSEC, AM, WSTK integrations.
- Documenting topology and application infrastructure.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, possessing the ability to quickly understand complex systems and their associated data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to mentor individuals and teams on your proficiencies and skills.
