Full Time Veterinarian - Superior Salary, Great Benefits, Merced, California
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full-Time Veterinarian to join our team in Merced, California. This position pays a superior salary and offers great benefits. The ideal candidate should have 0 to 15 years of experience in a Veterinarian or Associate Veterinarian role and be proficient in DVM. Responsibilities: - Examine animals to diagnose their health problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Administer vaccinations and other preventive medicine
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe and administer medication, immunization, and other treatment
- Collect tissue, blood, urine, or other samples for testing
- Provide specialized care for animals with chronic conditions
- Provide referrals for specialist care when necessary
- Monitor animal health, condition, and progress after treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate animal owners about proper pet care and health maintenance
- Conduct research to improve treatments, diagnoses, and preventative care
Requirements: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Merced, California
- 0 to 10 years of experience in a Veterinarian or Associate Veterinarian role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and carry animals of various sizes
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
