We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering patient appointment data from internal systems into Epic and/or Meditech with the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless coordination of patient appointments and optimal utilization of resources within our medical facilities.
Location: This position will sit in our Addison Corporate Office and support our Utah locations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm CST, and some Saturday
RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately enter patient appointment data into Epic and/or Meditech systems according to established protocols, guidelines, quality, and production goals.
Review and verify appointment details for accuracy and completeness, including patient demographics, appointment times, physician information, and other relevant data.
Coordinate with lead and director to ensure timely and accurate entry of appointment information, resolving any discrepancies or issues as needed.
Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations governing patient information.
Participate in training sessions and ongoing education initiatives to stay updated on changes in data entry procedures and software systems.
Assist with additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor or management.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and/or Meditech is highly desirable.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain high standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and always maintaining patient confidentiality.
