We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Gas System Analyst in our Kenosha Racine Service Center or Milwaukee North Service Center locations.
This position may require On-call responsibility in case of inclement weather.
The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $92,000 and is based on experience.
Job Summary
A Gas System Analyst position functioning as a team member supporting gas asset management strategies in various areas such as station operations and controls, leak and survey activities, corrosion prevention, mapping and facility documentation, standards and materials, and code compliance activities. The Analyst conducts installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and project activities with limited scope and complexity often under direct oversight. The Analyst supports operational, code compliance and emergency response activities of the assigned team while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, code compliance and financial responsibility.
This is a job family posting (Gas System Associate Analyst, Gas System Analyst, Gas System Senior Analyst) and experience will be the determining factor. Job Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to internal clients and external stakeholders on a variety of tasks. Areas of assignment may include gas measurement/instrumentation/pressure regulation and control, leak detection/surveys, corrosion prevention, mapping and facility documentation, standards creation, material evaluation, and code compliance.
- Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs a variety of gas distribution equipment, instruments and systems. Recommends and purchases equipment, supplies and services. Ensures appropriate documentation and facility records requirements are maintained. Ensures that actions follow Company standards and procedures, comply with appropriate regulations and support the Company’s operational and financial objectives.
- Installs and modifies electronic instruments and control systems, including computer control systems and interfaces.
- Programs, repairs, and maintains programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used within the gas distribution system. Analyst, Gas System Analyst, Gas System Senior Analyst) and experience will be the determining factor. Minimum Experience Required
Gas System Associate Analyst
Demonstrates fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills.Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.
Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.
Associate's degree in related technical field is preferred.
Gas System Analyst
Minimum of 2-4 years as Gas System Associate Analyst or experience in a directly related technical field such as gas distribution operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.Demonstrates analytical problem solving skills and effective oral/written communication skills.
A sound understanding of gas distribution codes is preferred.
Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, corrosion and Standards.
Specific responsibilities may require particular industry certification such as National Association of Corrosion Engineers – NACE Level 1 certification and Operator Qualification for Gas Control Operations.
Associate's degree in related technical field is preferred.
Gas System Senior Analyst
Minimum of 7-10 years as Gas System Analyst or experience in a directly related technical field such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.Demonstrates effective analytical problem solving skills and effective oral/written communication skills.
Demonstrates a sound understanding of gas distribution codes.
Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.
Associate's degree in related technical field is preferred.
