Business Systems Specialist - Remote
Position Summary
As a Business Systems Specialist you will be responsible for supporting, modifying, updating and maintaining key information systems for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, the student information system, enrollment system, and accounting systems. You will play an integral role in managing, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to address complex business issues within the Concorde division technology systems, including requirement gathering, problem resolution, and solution building with functional leaders.
Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Provide Tier II support & respond to systems related Helpdesk tickets and requests as the primary liaison with functional area partners.
- Work with our vendor partners to resolve issues and prepare Change Management Documentation.
- Work independently to evaluate information, troubleshoot issues, and implement new solutions in complex systems.
- Coordinate end user testing of application patches, enhancements, upgrades, or new releases.
- Coordinate with Support Engineers to resolve relevant issues impacting campuses.
- Maintain & monitor processes, automations, and integrations related to key information system and recommend changes that will improve business processes.
- Coordinate quarterly access reviews for in scope SOX systems.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related field, or..
- 6 years in related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing similar systems.
- Some experience with scripting and query languages preferred.
Abilities
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn, and reason for all the workday
- Must be able to sit prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs for occasional onsite project work
- May require occasional travel and work after-hours or weekends as necessary to perform tasks that may otherwise cause a disruption
- May require up to 10% of overnight travel.
