The Broomfield Library and Cultural Affairs department has an opening for a part-time inventHQ Makerspace Associate. We are seeking a high performing, innovative, and team-focused individual who has a passion for learning, creating, and collaborating.

This position works 12 hours per week between 1:30-7:30pm on Thursday, and 11:30am-5:30pm on Friday and Saturday. The hiring range is $21.41 - $25.19/hour and this position does not include benefits.

Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties

During your work shift you will help children and adults use makerspace equipment during public open hours. You will greet new patrons and give them a tour of the space, chat with them about projects they would like to make, help them safely use tools, and connect them to learning resources.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year experience in library work or a closely related field requiring extensive public contact in person (or equivalent experience). Experience with makerspace tools and customer service preferred.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits.


NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Bilingual skills in Spanish and English desirable. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.
