Group 95--Summer Research Program Intern (Space Systems Analysis and Test)

Job description

 

This position will work with the group 95 IT team to perform IT projects as well as daily tasks. Projects can include introducing automation to our workflows by writing and testing scripts or small programs, writing up documentation to formalize IT procedures, and standing up and testing new system configurations. The IT team will work with this position to find projects that are suitable and meaningful to both the student and group 95. Daily tasks include imaging and configuring new systems according to established procedures, troubleshooting staff computer issues, assisting with cable management and racking, monitoring file server and backup tasks, and assisting with audio-visual setup for meetings and seminars.

 

Operating system and software used includes Microsoft Windows 10/11/Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9, Ubuntu Linux, macOS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office suite, and MATLAB.

Applicants should be pursuing an undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related discipline.

 

This is a 100% in-person position. Reliable personal transport is required as work will be done at both the main Laboratory campus in Lexington, MA as well as a field site i n Westford, MA.

 

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
