Job description

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Transplant Coordinator role for the Advanced Lung Disease Program. This position is Monday through Friday, day shift with an on-call requirement.

Inova pioneered lung and lung-heart transplants in 1991 in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro areas and remains the only provider of lung transplantation in the region.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Transplant Coordinator role to support the Inova Advanced Lung Disease Program, located on the campus of nationally top-ranked Inova Fairfax Hospital. Recognized for excellence and innovation, Inova transplant surgeons and lung specialists offer new hope to individuals dealing with serious life-threatening lung disease that once was considered untreatable.

The Inova Transplant Coordinator:
* Assessment of patient needs and coordinator of multidisciplinary care.
* Educates patient, family, and care providers.
* Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice. Organizes and submits data to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
* Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with others. Demonstrates respect and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses and integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes.
* Ensures improvements in practice by assuming responsibility for self-development and lifelong learning.

Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift with rotating weekend on-call requirement

Requirements:

• Three years of clinical RN experience, Transplant Coordination experience preferred.
• BSN
• BLS via AHA
• Valid Virginia RN license
• Computer competency
