Job description
Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Hearing Health Clinic (a Bellingham Ear, Nose, and Throat division ), is known for providing quality hearing healthcare to the community for over 25 years. They are hiring an Audiologist to join them in Bellingham, WA.
The Audiologist will be part of a team of three audiologists and six otolaryngology physicians. The primary role will be the treatment aspect of hearing loss providing hearing aid services at the hearing health clinic. The secondary role will be diagnostic coverage as needed for the ENT physicians.
Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, speech in noise tests, MCL and UCL tests, speech reception threshold, and word recognition tests.
- Performing and interpreting Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission Screenings (DPOAEs).
- Interpreting and reporting test results to determine hearing loss, type, and degree, both in written and verbal form.
- Counseling and recommending appropriate treatment plans with the patient.
- Fitting and programming hearing aids based on diagnostic findings and patient needs.
- Fitting and programming of Osseointegrated Auditory Devices; BAHA.
- Optional cochlear implant candidacy testing, counseling, mapping, and follow up.
- Maintaining patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology
- 2+ Years of knowledge and experience with hearing aids, programming, fitting, verification, troubleshooting devices, in house repairs is a plus.
- Experience with BAHA bone conduction devices and Cochlear Implants is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills
