Job description
As a Pharmacy Technician at [Your Hospital or Pharmacy Name], you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring the efficient preparation and distribution of medications. Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist , you will assist in various pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, billing, and record-keeping. This position requires a commitment to following all hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures while delivering exceptional service to our patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Pharmacist in the accurate preparation and distribution of medications.
Take responsibility for billing pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with billing procedures.
Deliver medications and supplies to various hospital areas, including nursing stations, medication storage areas, and others.
the Emergency Room with medications according to department policy.
Deliver medication orders to designated areas on a daily basis .
Check and replenish stock supplies on a daily basis to maintain inventory.
Prepare intravenous solutions daily in accordance with written policy.
Deliver patient care in a manner appropriate to the patient's age, physical ability, and intellectual development, demonstrating proficiency in assessing and adapting care for various patient populations.
Restock and maintain the picking station on a daily basis .
Rotate stock as required to ensure product freshness and adherence to safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
National Pharmacy Technician Certification ( CPhT ) or willingness and ability to become certified.
High School graduate.
No prior experience required , but previous pharmacy or medical experience is desirable.
Computer literate with strong keyboard skills.
Proficient in mathematics and analytical skills.
Willingness to accept responsibility and work under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist .
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
